Shire by Pineward Perfumes is an aromatic scent created for both women and men. Launched during the 2020s, it was crafted by the talented perfumer Nicholas Nilsson. This fragrance offers a fresh and lighter take on natural, countryside aromas.

A Warm and Earthy Opening

At first, you’ll notice the comforting scents of hay, oatmeal, and hazelnut, which bring a warm and slightly sweet feeling, reminiscent of golden fields during harvest season. In addition, the bright and zesty touch of bergamot adds a fresh lift to the opening.

A Soft and Herbal Heart

Moving into the heart, gentle lavender and soothing herbal tea notes blend effortlessly with westfarthing leaf, a type of tobacco leaf, introducing a subtle earthiness. Meanwhile, hints of seed cake, jasmine, and orris add a soft floral and powdery complexity.

Background and Inspiration

Interestingly, Shire began as a lighter re-imagining of Hayloft, another Pineward fragrance. However, it evolved into a distinctly different creation, focusing more on the sweeter and coumarin-rich aspects of hay. Although many of the same raw materials are used, the formula changes their ratios and concentration, giving Shire its unique character. For this reason, the creator chose to give it its own name.
